Fine dining

When it comes to fine dining, Jesus College prides itself on its excellent standards of catering, varied and seasonal menus, locally sourced produce and extensive wine cellar. Whether chosen alongside a conference, meeting, reception or wedding, or booked separately, there is a choice of historic dining venues within the college.

The Alcock Room, for example, offers the opportunity for up to 16 guests to enjoy fine dining in a beautifully presented oak-beamed room. The half-panelled walls and open fireplace of The Prioress’s Room lend a unique atmosphere for up to 34 guests. For a more formal dinner for up to 146 guests, the medieval carvings and arched windows of The Upper Hall or the vaulted ceilings and chandeliers of The Hall provide the perfect setting.

“Thank you for running our celebration so efficiently, helpfully and successfully. On all aspects of the day, the feedback has been uniformly positive. Everyone remarked on the beauty of the college, heightened by lovely weather. In particular, the quality of the lunch was singled out as being particularly fine. Please pass on our grateful thanks to all those involved.”
