The Prioress’s Room

The name of the Prioress’s Room dates from the time when it was a dwelling room of the Prioress of the Benedictine nuns who occupied this site from the mid 12th to the late 15th century. The half oak panelled walls, open fireplace and portraits now lend a unique atmosphere to the functions held here.

Whether used as a drinks reception venue or buffet reception venue, it offers up to 40 guests a rare opportunity to experience one of the oldest parts of the college, both in term times and holidays.
