Upper Hall

The spacious Upper Hall dates back to the foundation of the college by Bishop Alcock. Medieval carvings decorate the crossbeams of the restored roof, and arched windows along each side provide ample natural daylight, adding to the fresh feel of the room. The whitewashed walls are undecorated except for the mural by Richard Long, 'River Avon Mud, 1996', lending the room a distinctive and airy character. On the top level of the college buildings, the Upper Hall leads onto a balcony that overlooks the magnificent 15th century College Hall.

As a reception venue, it can accommodate up to 100 guests for a drinks reception or 80 guests for a buffet reception. The Second Court outside can also be booked for drinks during the summer months, weather permitting.
